At Restoration Church, you'll hear the phrase, "Creating Completed Christians." You have a call of God on your life, and we believe it is our privilege to help you identify it and perfect it in you, to the glory of God. We understand that, as you begin to walk in your individual ministry, whatever it may be, we are helping to complete your Spiritual Journey.

Our vision is to raise up and pass on a culture of non-religious Christianity, which will be able to teach, mentor and disciple this same principle to generations through small groups and through an atmosphere of spiritual freedom and creativity.

Small Groups

Why Should I Attend a Small Group?

Small Groups at Restoration Church exist to help you grow up to full maturity in your relationship with God and others.  You may be doing great in your Christian walk right now, but by being in relationship with fellow believers, you will experience even more of the abundant life Jesus has to offer.  Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; if one falls down his friend can help him up. If you are ready to connect with other people, want to experience life-changing spiritual growth, yearn to grow in Christ through give and take relationships with other believers, and are eager to learn how to share the Gospel with family and friends, then now is the time to get involved in a Small Group!

What is a Small Group?

A Small Group is typically made up of six to twelve people who meet regularly during the week to share about their lives, support one another, and study Biblical truths.  Each group has a host and a leader (or one person may host and lead).  Groups can meet in a number of different locations, including coffee shops, restaurants, the church and work places.  But typically they meet in homes.  Most groups meet weekly during evening hours, but some meet less often.  Some meet in the morning or afternoon.  Our goal is to accommodate the different needs of those in our church by offering a variety of options.
Currently, we have several different types of Small Groups: General (open to all), New Christians, Women’s, Men’s, Spiritual Prayer, Young Adults and Celebrate Recovery.  We are looking for leaders and hosts to start groups for Mom’s, College, Married Couples, Single Parents, Grief Recovery, Youth, Snow Birds, Retirees, and Spanish Speaking, just to name a few!

What do Small Groups do?

Loving and ministering to one another; sharing and developing our spiritual gifts; being a community of Christians representing God’s kingdom to others - this is our main purpose.
Activities during group meetings vary from group to group, but most groups have a time of fellowship, prayer, Bible or book study, discussion, ministry to group members and visitors, and life application.  Not all groups are study groups, but we encourage exploration of God’s Word at every meeting.  Groups may also discuss the Pastor’s weekend message; some read and study books about Christian living; and others study books of the Bible.
We also encourage our group members to practice relationship evangelism, reaching out to friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and others; seeking opportunities to care for them, reflect Christ’s love to them, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them, inviting them to group meetings and church services.  Groups may elect to find ways to serve the community together while seeking opportunities for evangelism.  Restoration Church Small Groups are encouraged to find useful community projects, such as feeding the homeless, writing letters to serivice members, baking cookies for prison inmates, helping to build homes for low-income families, visiting assisted living facitlites, and much more.  It’s amazing what God can do through a group of people as they use their skills, gifts and resources to help those in need!

How do I Find a Small Group?

Look through our directory and find a group or two that suit your schedule and interests.  Then call the host or leader for more information about that particular group.  After you get directions and details, just show up and check it out!  Hopefully, you’ll feel right at home with the first group you visit, but you may want to check out other groups before you find the group that is right for you.  If you feel a little nervous or unsure on your first visit, we encourage you to stick with it - you’ll be happy you did!  So, will you take the steps to find a Small Group of your own?
